This article addresses Tom Wells’ professional history in connection with his being selected as the FICPA 1999 Outstanding CPA of the Year in Business and Industry. At the time, Mr. Wells was the founder and President of b4bpartner, Inc., a software technology company focusing on building and deploying electronic safe deposit box, e-sign and document preparation software for the banking industry. The company was sold in 2002 to iLumin, Inc., a VC-backed software company located in Reston, Virginia, and Mr. Wells returned to the practice of law.
